A lot of people in Pakistan are criticizing the recent amendment to the Constitution, but I personally feel it was necessary. Yes, the intention was to limit the powers of the Supreme Court to avoid an existential crisis for the ruling party, but my point is: what is the use of so much power if it has never been used to deliver justice to the people of Pakistan? Instead, it has often been wielded to engage in conflicts with other institutions.
