The best thing to do if possible is to talk to them, but if not, it gets tough for long games. Find a common ground and build from there. In one shots at cons, I'll usually take the player that is the most against the rest of the team and give them their own little sub quest to the side while the rest of the group plays the game. Keeps everyone happy 9/10 times and they don't even realize it's happening.
