People who don’t live in Minnesota seem to be under the impression that the state is way more progressive than it is. We have a strong Democratic Farm Labor party and a huge college-educated population in the cities. But step outside those cities — even into the suburbs — ESPECIALLY in the suburbs — and you’ll find PLENTY of Trump lawn signs and anti-choice billboards everywhere.
