Chinese friends in Singapore explain to me like I’m a brand new Ang Mo into Asia…. Why would adult children of a divorced father be upset that he is dating a white woman if the children’s mother acquired all of his wealth many years ago? I’m trying to wrap my head about “not understanding chinese culture”. Is it purely that I’m white? Are Singaporean Gen z really that discriminating towards people outside of the majority race?
