Using the child’s learning style in the metacognition phase ( usually the last phase) to help them process and show their learning IS effective for rentention, building problem-solving skills, and critical thinking. In my classroom, we were encouraged to use a multi-sensory approach NOT for introducing a topic, but for students to show their work. So basically, the students had to regurgitate their learning in ALL the learning styles. … but it should be backwards! 🙈
