The real scam is returning to work pp paying over $1200 a month for daycare while paying the remaining bills. Whether you are a single mother of in a relationship its a darn scam. Don't get me started on how many US companies don't offer maternity leave or its a tiny amount that barely paid or unpaid. 😤

This is so true. I had my baby 4 months ago , I instantly tried to start back working and on my first day while talking to the supervisor , I burst into tears thinking about the fact that I had to leave my new baby for a job! I instantly quit !!!!!!🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾💯💯💯💯 it’s not even worth it.

Countries that do this are insane. Here in Romania mothers get 2 years of leave to stay with the child and if I remember this right (I haven’t checked in a long time) they get paid 75% of their original income during that time. So it’s paid time off and she gets to be with the baby for the first 2 years. I don’t understand how countries can have such a different system. Like in one place you get less than 2 months with your baby and in other places moms get 2 years?! 🤔🫠

As a former infant room teacher I agree! I will only now nanny and watch 6 weeks to one year olds at home. Where I worked we had 9 infants to 2 teachers. And then I worked at another school and they had one teacher with 5 babies by herself. It just isn’t good…and it sucks that society has made this “normal.”

That’s why I chose to work part time and be poor and live with my parents. Just so I could be there while he was little. (I am divorced so I had to move in with parents regardless) I’m blessed they let me.
