My grandmother said they would do a pitcher of corn starch mixed with water and feed babies like that until they turned 10 months. Then straight to cows milk

Wet nurses and goats milk.

Babies died.

Why do so many question on threads seem like not serious questions?

Watched their babies die or used a wet nurse

Breastfed, used a wet nurse, or gave whatever raw mammal milk was available to them (goat, sheep, cow, camel)

Wet nurse. And babies died. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Cows milk. And wet nurses.
