The simple answer, most men are very competitive to a degree whether it be with their peers, significant others, family, self, etc.

My wife trains at home I train at the gym so we would never be seen working out together, that said she trains hard 5 to 6 days a week same as me but to look at us out and about dressed it looks like I'm fitter mainly due to muscle mass. Women have lower testosterone so cant pack on the same muscle mass which means when clothed its probs not as noticable

Most answers are bs. Majority of men lowered their standards. Why ? At this time every woman has much more options than a man because of social networks and the dating apps. Women are not forced to take care about themselves to find a partner. Like a half of women are obese. Plenty of men are single struggling to find a partner. These are the reasons. I find it very bad that men settle for and tolerate women way worse than themselves. We can see it each time we look around us.
