@the.seelie.witch Have you heard the story of how grain agriculture came to the english isles? Apparently grains spread like wildfire, and even hopped the channel, but after a couple hundred years or so (long enough yo degrade the soil) the islanders said "Nah" and went right back to their hazel staple agriculture until the Romans came in and messed everything up. Hazel is quite the ancestor.
