How is asking for proper change from a CASHIER bothering them? It’s literally their job and in their job title

These cashiers don’t know how to give change correctly lmao I worked at a register for years. If I couldn’t do simple math that’s on me. Not the person frustrated with me?

I don't understand this point of view. I was a cashier for 5 years. Making up the difference to get bills back is both better for the register and easier for the cashier.

I was a cashier for 8 years and I would definitely rather give back a 10 and a 5 rather than a 10, 3 singles and 92 cents

Its literally part of a cashier's job. I know , because one of my first jobs was as a cashier at Buc-ee's, but we never once had an issue making square change for a customer, I guess because Buc-ee's tries their hardest not to hire idiots.

What do some customers not understand, the cashiers are responsible for the register on their shift. Doesn’t matter if it’s up or it’s down, any discrepancies can lead into an investigation and the staff member can be written up. Some places can be harsher than others. The mind boggles with the public.
