Clearly this post has caused an issue for some people. I just wanted to clear a few things up, saves responding to each comment individually. Firstly, I am aware that this is a first world problem and I am grateful for the security that the UK has in the sense of jobs, housing, not a war zone etc. This does not take away from the feelings - this was supposed to be a bit lighthearted to make myself feel better whilst I was walking home alone at night feeling scared.
