Let me make this very clear, I shouldn’t have to however i am. This post isn’t about the hoodie. Yes he had a tantrum about it . My question was how long has your autistic child had a meltdown or tantrum. My child has had lots of meltdowns and tantrums for SEVERAL REASONS. So thank you for those who gave positive feedback. I’m not a new mom to the autism community. I have a 9 year that was diagnosed at 3 and 4 year old that is in the process of getting tested.

44 分鐘內	megatron521	It’s not OK to call autistic dysregulation, or meltdowns “tantrums”. -It is OK to try to find out what’s triggering the dysregulation and help to prevent it from happening in the future. It’s not OK to try to ‘train’ your child temperature, or temperature regulation. -It is OK to explain your thoughts behind it, and listen to his thoughts. Autistic people in general, usually have a different sense of temperatures or temperature regulation. Sincerely, an autistic adult.
