You put a blanket
Over the concrete
And called that
"Catching" me.
You held my hand
Then watched me fall
I still bear the scars
From the last time
I let my guard down
I still bare my teeth
Whenever someone
Gets a little too close
You broke my serenity
And left anxiety
In its place.
Next time I won't
Breathe in the smoke
That you call oxygen.
Just leave me here
To suffer and bleed
And we'll call it even.
