I love this story:
When the printing press was invented, the Catholic church was VERY excited. It helped them print more bibles and convert more Christians.
But a few years later, Protestants got their own printing presses and started printing their own religious texts.
Soon, Protestants started writing and printing WAY more books than the Catholics and the Church decried the printing press, saying it was unfairly accessible.
But now, everyone can read. And books are an $80B/yr business.
