Something I don’t understand… why does it seem like every female character (other than the FMC) in books b!tchy, popular, vain, selfish, and/or a bully? I’m tired of reading about these types of characters just so we can empathize with the FMC. You don’t need to make every other female unlikable just so the FMC is the only likable female character…. I see this a lot in contemporary/dark romances, especially if the book has an academy or university setting.
