What's everyone's favourite computer from the 80s then? ... the BBC Micro is one of mine as I grew up playing on it quite a lot ... and apparently if you went to a UK school in the 1980s, you did as well lol

Made my first games on the TI-99/4A so that will always be top of the 80’s for me

It was on a trolley, covered in someone's 1970s curtains, and you would be lucky if your teacher knew how to make it work. It was only used during wet break times.

I think I was the only one in the school (teachers included!) who knew how to use the single one the school had left by the mid-90s...

Yeah I used one at school, but the first we had was a Commodore 16.

BBC Micro is a legend in early computing. If I had a pound for every hr I played Elite on that door stopper, I’d be Elon Musk. Lost half my youth to that machine!

I still have my BBC Micro, came as a model A but later upgraded to a model B and disk interface. Good fun to program and game on.

Loved the BBC at primary school, but there was one between two classes of 40 kids so I must have used it for about an hour a year 😂 I managed to snag a ZX Spectrum for £1 at a car boot sale! And when the schools all got new Acorn Archimedes machines from the Tescos vouchers, I got my own BBC in an auction for £20 (my pocket money was 50p a week so it was nearly a whole years money!)
