I may be “read a lot books” smart but I’m not “remember a lot of books” smart. You know?

I love to read them and then flush them right down the memory hole!

Not me forgetting books as soon as I read them 😅 but I can tell you I sure enjoyed them!

I'm an "enjoy a lot of books" hobbyist not "read for others opinions or monetary gain" hobbyist. Like damn can't I just have a little fun, why do i need to turn it into cash. People truly don't understand hobbies, just have fun we don't need to remember anything other than the feeling of reading a good book and the anger of reading a crappy one

I tell myself the forgotten books probably impacted me in a subtle way, and that if we didn’t forget books, we’d only need a total of one or two books per genre

Same! I read first and then listen to the audiobook months or years afterwards. I’m always going, “Oh yea, I forgot about this!”
