When it comes to thinking about how “good” your music is as an artist, it’s not really a continuous spectrum but rather a small set of important breakpoints. Is it good enough that someone hearing it on a playlist won’t skip it? Will they stop and want to find out who it is? Is it good enough to make someone go looking for more music and information on an artist? Either you’re good enough, or you’ll have trouble being discovered. Being a 6/10 isn’t much better than being noise unfortunately.
