I feel your pain. I can spend a year or more on an album of 9/10 songs. I treat it like it means everything which is does , but the release garners very little interest , struggle to get reviews and I know I’m a good songwriter who’s occasionally written great stuff. I suffer with imposter syndrome so that not easy for me to say here. So its hard. Finished an album now and can’t be bothered to mix it because of the dread of release. It’s a real struggle.
