Songwriters!! I need your help. I’m stuck, totally fucking stumped. Because I’m used to radio music, My brain wants me to go: verse/chorus/verse/chorus/breakdown/chorus The issue is that the chorus is long AF and the verses are super short, so if I repeat this pattern, it feels … too repetitive? But then trying to break out of this pattern makes me feel like it’s off 😂😂 Either fucking way it feels off!!! But individually each part sounds fking awesome, I just can’t figure out the structure

39 分鐘內	Mr Doom mrdoomtheproducer	It's hard to say without actually hearing the song, but, you could try opening with the chorus (Aerosmith did that a lot). If the verses really are that short, you could put verses together into one part. So you would end up with something like, Chorus-Verse-bridge-Chorus. Hard to say if that's helpful without knowing what the song sounds like, but I've seen arrangements like this work.
2 小時內	Shannon Hudson shannonhudsonmusic	Double verse on the first verse. Can you do a single or half chorus on the first chorus? Then second verse (full) and 2nd chorus (full). Breakdown can be a half chorus (or maybe even better - a short bridge)
3 小時內	Whit Morliss whitmorliss	Sounds like you either have 2 songs or you need to cut out the non-essential. Alternatively, you may have a dance track that should be even longer and the “radio” edit would just be “verse”/“chorus”/“verse”/“chorus”….fade

5 小時內	Harold Mike Sizemore hmsizem	Don’t let anyone make you feel like what you’re doing is repetitive. The rules are there to start then find ways to break them. Also once it complete, think about how you edit at that point. Ask yourself is there a way to say this better. Also look for words that don’t serve your melody as well when you walk away from it. Just my two cents process wise.
