There’s nothing wrong with having the experience of a c-section. But saying a gentle c-section is an option is extremely misleading to new moms who have fears around giving birth.

Having had a “gentle”’c-section, and multiple major orthopedic, oral, and neuro surgeries, I disagree. My gentle c-section was vastly preferable to a typical c-section and this is why: Smaller incision Clear drape to see my baby immediately Immediate skin to skin Nursing in the OR Uterus stitched internally and not removed from my body for sutures as it typical A calm supportive team around me invested in making the experience still a beautiful birth despite it being a surgical birth.
