Who would deny her obvious blackness? But CLEARLY all black AMERICAN experiences are not the same. My folks has been in this country since waaaaaay back - so why can’t I say my black American experience isn’t the same as someone whose parents or grandparents got here within the last 50 or so years? Everyone else can proudly boast their backgrounds and separate themselves but when we do it it’s a problem. Why?
