I do allow my child to watch tv but more as a background kinda way.. ill put a Disney movie (our fave rn is cars) and put him with his toys and he’ll be content for a while.. he’ll switch between the tv and his toys and I feel like it’s good for his development on some level. I don’t believe that’s going to turn him into an iPad kid either (he won’t be getting an iPad as a child anyway) and as annoying as they are I have found the musical, talking, just over all loud toys keep them busy longer

We literally leave the house every day doing something 😂 during the week is easy because there’s story time at the library etc. and we go to the park every. single. day. But now my little guy is at an age where I do household chores and let him watch/play/help and it helps time go by! Or I read a book and sit in the living room while he plays since they parallel play at this age!

Ask your parents they didn’t have iPads to give you. Adults on social media are basically iPad adults

Tonni box’s are great, my little one likes the stories while she plays. Also keep pompoms on deck and put paint tape on the walls. Keeps mine busy for a while making patterns

You didn’t grow up with crayons ? Or chalk? Maybe 🤔 you should be a little more careful with what toys. The toys that aren’t useful, I’ll be bored of them too. That baby has a brain. 🧠 And maybe she would like to use it one day. How about practicing words ever had that growing up?

Mine loves coloring and magnatiles

My 4yo has a craft box. I fill it with paper, stickers, feathers, glue, scissors and all kinds of stuff. That will entertain her for 1-2 hours. Find a hobby or activity they love!
