I dunno about those guys you've interacted with, but I do have some form of emotional detachment like sometimes I don't cry even at funerals but sometimes I cry from just the smallest things? I show excitement but not that much. I seldom show any emotion that easily because I'm afraid that it will be used against me. I do have feelings, but I choose who to show them to.
