The upfront deposit should cover the cancellation. That’s why it’s important for the deposit to be priced appropriately. I require 50% deposit. Some think that’s a lot but I think it’s fair, I mean it goes towards the balance anyway and if they’re serious they won’t play with our time since they’re already giving up half. Yes we lloose the full amount if they cancel but can’t expect to charge it all when a service wasn’t actually provided.
