I think this is my favourite painting ever! Fifth in the gouache series. We were walking down home from the park and D stopped to pick up a stick from a puddle. I stood and watched him. He crouched there for a while, chatting to himself about the puddle and the stick and the leaves. Kids are just fascinated by everything, aren’t they?
