Apparently pedestrians are startled by bikers yelling “on your left!” From now on I’m quietly pedaling next to them and whispering it in their ear. That should solve it.

15 小時內	Mary Kate Murray marymurrah	No, I promise you they’re not! Too many pedestrians wear headphones, so I will ring my bell 150 ft out and yell when closer. Even then, small children & families can be oblivious. It’s annoying as heck when I’m walking & get whizzed by someone who didn’t bother to announce :(
