If it makes you feel better, I’m an archaeologist and went to school with many aspiring forensic anthropologists. Almost all of them work in archaeology today because there are so few jobs in forensic anthropology. One former classmate works at a medical examiner’s office but forensic anthropology is only a small portion of her workload. I originally went to school for forensic anthropology but I switched my focus to archaeology when I realized how few jobs there are in that field.
