Today I lost the heart which beat outside my chest. He struggled with cancer for a few months and took a sharp turn for the worse yesterday. He could barely walk today. Rye was the best dog I’ve ever met. Ever. He was compassionate, giving his food to other dogs if they were hungry. He was kind to children and the elderly. He maintained his boundaries.
