Paw Patrol has bothered me since the first time I watched it. I didn’t think much of it at the time but I still can’t watch it without being annoyed AF so I don’t let my kids watch it. I was told yesterday that my kids are “missing out” because of its popularity. Why do other parents do this? I would WAY rather have my kids watch Bluey.

16 小時內	mugurdefluier	We did Paw Patrol in a controlled manner because I find the design dumb but where we really went to town & I loved it was Petterson & Findus, which is radically different. We always used well dosed shows to then introduce the real deal (books/activities based on the characters) so yeah there was some paw patrol on tv but only to con them into activity books later 😆

20 小時內	Lina I.G-G lina_lg2	I heard bluey is good but my son who is 3 doesn't like any of the "popular" shows. He rather watch YouTube videos, which I'm always around go hear/see what he's watching. They range from unboxing trains(obsessed with trains), educational, to funny animal videos, recently Ryan which I can't stand but he likes the toys he plays with and then he'll use his imagination like he's the ones that has those toys. We use to watch puppy pals, that was too cute, great adventures!

There is sooooo much great content for kids, and “bUt iTs pOPulaH!” is such a shit reason to prioritise one over everything else. Stick with what works for your family, and refuse to be cowed by the psychological abuse of these people. You owe nothing to anyone except your kids.
21 小時內	されな sarenaispunk	Same. I don’t let my kid watch Paw Patrol, Peppa Pig, Cocomelon, or even Mickey’s Clubhouse (I think it’s overstimulating). She can watch Bluey, old Disney shorts with Minnie and Mickey, or Sesame Street. Even with Sesame Street, I filter episodes because I’m not a fan of the newer ones. I think out of all of the kids’ shows nowadays, Bluey is by far the most superior. I watch it with her all the time 😂
