Square root of 9 is -3 or 3, which does fit the equation.

Guys for the ones who are confused, I am clearing it for them , cuz I was confused as well :- So if we take 9½ , then it won't be equal to + 3 or -3 , it will just be equal to +ve 3 . We get the case of both + and - roots only when we apply a function , like x² = 9 So then the value of x will be both 3 and -3 , but (root) 9 won't be equal to both 3 and -3 , it will only be +ve 3.
