Yesterday my Other Half was judged by another parent. He was pushing Little One on the swings. Little One likes us to sing songs as we push but kept asking for “the ocean song”. Other Half had no idea what this was (neither of us do!) & had to say “I’m sorry I don’t know that one”. At which point the Mum next to him did a sigh eye roll like “urgh typical Dad doesn’t know how what his kid likes!” Except Other Half isn’t that Dad & he knew it. So he started listing all the usual songs…

幾秒內	Amy Kavanagh blondehistorian	But Little One didn’t want Five Ducks or Wind the Bobbin Up or Tiny Turtle. As the toddler frustrating grew Other Half was nearly out of songs. When Little One shouted “Hairy Maclary!” So Other Half smiled & recited nearly all of Hairy Maclary from memory. Until Little One shouted “No! Zachary Quack!” And so Other Half then started reciting all of Hairy Maclary & Zachary Quack from memory. The Mum on the next swing open mouthed just gasped “wow”.
