We have also realised that he wants us to “sing” books. Meaning tell him the story. This is perhaps because as a blind Mum I memorise his favourite books & let him hold & look at them while I tell the story. So for him “songs” are something adults say out loud from memory! But yeah any clues on “the ocean song” welcome.

11 小時內	khahtt	Over in the ocean? At school we sing it as a verse of a longer song with several land locations, but I have heard it expanded and sung on its own. The long version starts out “over in the ocean near the dark brown stone swims a mother fish and her little fishy one. Swim says the mother fish, I swim says the one, and the swam and the swam near the dark brown stone”. The song goes on rhyming the number of fishys with some object (lost shoe/two, deep blue sea/three, sandy shore/four, etc.).
