4C hair will need hydration treatments prior to a long lasting silk press. A lot of the products used on 4 c hair has high alcohol content which essentially is dry hair at its stretched out state. Biosilk has been the best I’ve been work on 4C hair. Manipulation of the shaft is important and round brush after silking to lock in the finishing silk serum helps a lot

Loved the cecred products. But it is pricey to get em all. But recommend. On the more affordable side the mizani press agent system is good. Like someone said above add a good clarifying shampoo. The color wow dream coat is a good add on with the mizani products. It's light.

Also the Kenya blow dry mist and smoothing cream. They also have a smoothing spray. All the products are super light.

a few that come to mind is a fresh trim, a stove top hot stove and not the plug in one, a bomb blow dry even if you gotta start with the pick attatchment and then round brush it to get it smoother and align the cuticles, and a super thin 1" titanium plated flat iron on 400-450 degrees with diagonal 1/4" subsections to straighten the hair and then a bit of wax stick on your hands rubbed onto the fly aways and ends and a medium to large size section to slightly bump the ends one last time for body
