Rich people accusing the victims of their exploitation (and anyone else who criticizes them) of simply being "envious" is like a grade-school bully accusing the kids he beats up of only disliking him because they're jealous of how cool and popular he is. Most people don't give a shit about your ugly, garish, opulent bullshit; they just want a decent place to live, a stable job that doesn't bleed them dry, and actual functioning public services.
