The people defending this magical design is equally as stupid as those raging about how stupid it is instead of just buying some other mouse.

I love my magic mouse. It’s aesthetically beautiful, after short time to get used to it, it’s ergonomic for my hand. It’s slim thus very portable. For me the annoying port is just a trade off. Every product have their own trade offs. Logitech MX Master series are very comfortable, but it’s big, and heavy, some other are light (and maybe have -not so annoying- port) but ugly.

Yes, the fast charging doesn't make the design any less dumb. Plus it's hella uncomfortable to use in any case, fuck wrists.

I don’t care as I use trackpad and Wacom. The cursor acceleration rate on MacOS just doesn’t work for me. On Windows it’s fine.

The mouse is bad for other reasons. The weird bottom facing charging port is really just the icing on the cake.

I think it's a form over function thing. There is no net benefit to the user with the port being on the bottom. It's done to make the mouse look pretty. It makes your mouse unusable for for the , albeit short, time that it's charging ( which is not the case for any other rechargeable mouse).
