To follow up on my comment about picking a PWI over an HBCU. Y’all I’m 15 years removed from undergrad and 6 years from my masters. My talking point was about homecoming, but honestly that isn’t the only reason I wish I went to an HBCU. The community and culture is NOT the same as a PWI. For those of you saying I can just go to homecomings. Yes, I’ve done this already and it still isn’t as if when you actually went to the school. Thanks for attending my TEDtalk.

5 小時內	Nikeba Davis unbothered08	I attended a PWI and my experience was very different. I graduated in the 90s and it was awesome. Celebrated homecoming this past weekend with all of the students both old, new and white. I also, attended the homecoming greek show that had an attendance of 4,000 black students including the white president. I guess maybe it’s different, because I’m involved in campus events and my husband serves on the foundation board for the university. We have made life long friends that come back every year.
