I feel it's demographic and work industry to who and why a vote choice. I think there's a line in careers. above, changes don't effect as much. below, every little change means a lot. Florida, for example, is a "right to work state" and they can lay you off or short hours, often and regularly, seasonally. Also most small businesses don't offer health insurance here. Great for retiring but not earning.
