If vegan "meat" could taste exactly like real meat and cost less, would you switch, or is there another reason you're holding onto traditional meat?

The problem is vegan "meat" contains a lot more allergens than just meat

It honestly depends- lots of vegan products are terrible for the environment because it requires so much farmland to make the products. The most ethical way for ANYONE to eat is to buy locally to reduce your carbon footprint. If a local farmer made vegan meat products AND they were cheaper than just buying meat from a farmer with free roaming cattle, 100%. But if I can ethically source meat for cheaper, it’s going to provide me more protein and allow me to eat less overall.

Animals on a well integrated and dynamically managed farm make ecological processes much more efficient and can help with things like building soil and carbon capture. There are non-animal techniques to do similar things but as far as I know the ecological role of animals can’t be fully replaced. Majority of animal agriculture is absolutely environmentally damaging but the opposite can be true with good management. Also I do value the healthy saturated fats in quality animal foods.

No - it isn’t meat, stop trying to make it meat. If you’re not a person who eats meat or likes meat why try to make something else into meat? It’s just weird and gross.

No it would be ultra processed. Also, not everybody had a problem eating meat

I would if it was cheaper and still had all the same necessary nutrients. Some vegans don’t consider this, at least some that I’ve met. They’re basically starving themselves of proper nutrition without taking the right steps to make sure they’re getting a balanced meal

If it had the same nutritional values and I could cook it in any ways I could traditional meats.
