I think the worst thing I’ve done to myself is build homes inside myself with the love of people who had no intention of maintaining it. I’ve constantly chosen everyone else over myself. And I think it’s about time I start building one for myself alone, brick by lonely brick, so that one day when someone comes knocking I have a safe place for us both already there. It feels silly but ima do it.
