I was in your same shoes, same HHI but higher bracket as I wasn’t married at the time. In 2012 I declared non-residency and established myself in Colombia, I’ve been nothing but happy and would estimate $1.5m CAD in savings from the relocation. (Granted I work overseas) but feel the pain of being right in middle class, it’s truly the golden income for our greedy Canadian government.
