What if, instead of vouchers for school choice, we banned private schooling altogether? This would force those who wish to flee the public schools to instead improve them.

Ya can't improve a monopoly run by folks with guaranteed incomes and who don't have to suffer the consequences of lost customers.

It’s fine for private schools to exist but parents that choose that need to choose it and pay for it tax dollars go to public education.

Banning competition NEVER improves anything! It would be a monopoly and therefore no incentive to do better no matter how hard parents fought for it to be better.
