Chef-son had a rough day on Saturday, basically ruined a couple portions that had to be remade. He was badly embarrassed and made Chinese dumplings for everyone as penance today. He’s normally great at flushing mistakes and moving but he said his vibe was still off. He ate quickly at family meal and then went off by himself to read (a book about Noma). Overheard a colleague saying to another, “He’s being way too hard on himself!” 1/2
