Virtually everything here is well known. The crazy thing is that you don’t really even have to hide your intention, your plans, your goals, and even your successes for this to work if you can target a sufficiently gullible part of a country, and do it just slowly enough that the immediacy of the news cycle means that it gets drowned out by everything else going on in a society.
