Serious question. Do you also usually just buy them whatever they want year round? I’m wondering how to start navigating this as my kids get older.

New bedroom set for my oldest daughter, new iPhone for my middle daughter and toys and Roblox gift cards for my boy. So whatever that all adds up to 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

I always went above and beyond. This year I'm limiting to 4 or 5 gifts each.

The budget varies from year to year. One year he got a gaming laptop and beats headphones. Next year it was clothes only. It really depends on what he asks for. I only have 1 child, 17 years old.

When boys were younger $5-600 per child and we were broke🤣. Now that I’m not 🤔 I spend much less on my 16 year old or take a vacay.

This year my almost 18 year old will get a new car (bday/xmas gift). My younger one has no budget, he’s little so whatever he wants I’m sure it’ll will be less than his sisters car 😂

Saying No sometimes doesn't always correlate with negative consequences. Sometimes it teaches them skills of delaying gratification, accepting no, and teaching them money is earned through hard work and patience.
