My son stopped being interested in trick-or-treating since 7th grade. He does not want to stand by the door and give out candies either. So last year we stopped giving out candies to the neighborhood kids. Is that a bad thing?

My daughter was assaulted while giving out candy in our front yard last year so I no longer give any 🦆s what others think.
