I procrastinated for years because I was more afraid of rejection than I knew. Eventually I motivated myself and ran a successful Kickstarter campaign, then another, then got published. During my first campaign, my dad died suddenly. He didn't live to see any of my big sucesses. Rejection hurts, but it'll never hurt worse than knowing you're too late to make someone you care about proud of you.
