But for real, if all Christians insist that Jesus and God are the same, why not just say God? Or pray to God? Why the need to substitute God?

Your ambiguous terminology makes the question so hard to understand…what does ””Same” refer to? Same person? Same being? Same what? And what do you me by “substitute God”. I’m not sure if you’re questioning the Trinity or oneness/modalism
