This is my film negative scanner designed for 3dprinting. My first prototype was made in Cardboard Aided Design which worked well but was difficult to get the lens through the hole and that's where it hit me, a mechanical iris would be perfect. Making one proved to be such a lofty unnecessary challenge. I had no idea how I was going to pull it off but I didn't let that stop me, it was just the type of challenge that has made me grow in the past so in a lot of ways this is a dream project.
