Respectfully, they had a bunch of this patient’s info wrong, and if it’s not necessary then why should she have to potentially pay for something she doesn’t need? And she didn’t throw a hissy fit.

Sometimes, just saying "no. No. NO!" when being bullied to go along with a policy that violates someone's legal civil rights is considered "having a hissy fit". (Happened to me; ended with a clinical director's assistant *running* across the office to inform of legal consequences if they persisted once I showed her where in the law they were wrong)
